About the event
Join us for a week long of fun and learning!!!
Kindergarten & Early Elementary School Class
Our young campers will participate in a hands-on, project-based learning program centered around Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Students will learn about the basic components of an electric circuit and put one together. Students construct paper sailboats and test the effect of different sail shapes, sizes, and construction methods to meet specific performance criteria. Campers will make their very own cardboard box car and enjoy a drive-in movie party and much more.
Late Elementary-Middle School
Our older elementary and middle school campers will build, program, troubleshoot, and even drive an electric go kart! Through this process they will learn about all the components that make up an electric vehicle drive-train and their effects on vehicle dynamics as well as learn about designing for manufacture, cost considerations and the business of electric vehicles. We will cover electric motors, controllers, power, wiring, electrical components, automation, diagnostics and much more.
Campers will also see how electric bicycles and scooters work and go on a private tour of EV West!GET TICKETS: Morning Session Afternoon Session EVLC Summer Camp - Elementary School
