Battery Build Class (Adult)

This is our one day, hands on “Battery Build Class” with Lou Shrinkle, author of “Modular Battery Swap: How We Can Get Everybody Driving an Electric Car”

In this class you will learn to build a 24V/240Wh battery pack and attach it to an eBike for a test ride. The class will feature step by step instruction with explanation and demonstration of the science behind each step . Materials, supplies and equipment will be provided. No prior experience necessary. This is a hands on activity and the following skills will be applied:

• Soldering
• Spot Welding
• Battery Management System operation and wiring
• Battery systems and Battery architecture
• Voltmeter Application

The class duration will be 5 hours, including an hour break where lunch will be provided. Our suggested donation of $300 per attendee will cover materials, supplies, and ensure that we can provide these classes to middle and high school students in our community at no charge.
